Then part of the Channel Fleet, Juno started a refit in Portsmouth in May 1908, after completing a Gunlayers' Test.[8]

She recommissioned at Chatham on 20 January, 1913. By mid-year, she was attached to the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla, but due to be replaced by Sentinel after Manœuvres. She was to be reduced to Reserve Commission at Chatham on 30 June, 1913.[9]

Juno replaced Sutlej as flagship in Cruiser Force E on 17 February, 1915. She would remain flagship until 5 April, 1915, save for a single week when Isis replaced her from 3 March.[10]

In 1901 while assigned to the Cruiser Squadron, the ship was noted as having or being slated to receive a "1 to 52" W/T set.[11]

Alterations

In 1903 the ship was rearmed with a single calibre main battery of 6-in B.L. guns in place of the existing mixed battery of 6-in and 4.7-in Q.F. guns. [12]
