H.M.S. Grenville was one of six flotilla leaders of the Parker class.
Service
Grenville joined the Grand Fleet's Fifteenth Destroyer Flotilla in November, 1916, acting as the formation's second flotilla leader.[5]
She was reduced to Reserve at Devonport on 3 March, 1920.[6]
Reduced to Reserve at Chatham on 12 March, 1926.[7]
Paid off 1 July 1928.[8]

- Commander Harold V. Dundas, 19 September, 1916[9][10] – 9 February, 1918[11]
- Commander George H. Knowles, 22 March, 1918[12][13] – 3 March, 1920[14]
- Captain Leonard L. P. Willan, 10 July, 1924[15][16] – 29 December, 1924[17] (and as Captain (D), Nore Reserve Flotilla)
- Commander Evan G. C. Cavendish, 10 July, 1924[18] – c. 20 August, 1924[Inference] (temporary, for Reserve Fleet Exercises)
The conflict between Cavendish and Willan may simply be that Cavendish commanded the ship for the Reserve Fleet Exercises and then left it to Willan.
