H.M.S. Gibraltar was one of nine protected cruisers of the Edgar class completed between 1893 and 1896.

Service

In mid-1913, she was with the Training Squadron in Queenstown.[8]

By the end of 1920, she was housing an anti-submarine training school in Portland.[9]
