Commissioned 7 April, 1926.[6]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 26 February, 1929 for service with the Fourth Cruiser Squadron in the East Indies.[7]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 15 October, 1931 for service with the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station.[8]

Completed to full complement on 27 January, 1936 for service with the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station.[9]
