H.M.S. Dryad was one of five Dryad class torpedo gunboats completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Upon entering service in early 1895, Dryad under the command of Commander Frederick Sidney Pelham ventured to the Mediterranean to relieve Gannet after several years' service there, so the latter ship could return to Englad to be taken out of service.[6]

Dryad was eventually fitted out as a minesweeper before the war and was assigned to help Cruiser Force B enforce the Northern Patrol.
