H.M.S. Dreadnought was a turret battleship of the Royal Navy completed in 1879.

There was, of course, a modern battleship called Dreadnought launched in 1906.

Service

Dreadnought commissioned at Portsmouth on 14 October, 1884.[6]

She was brought to full complement to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1896 under the command of Anson Schomberg.[7][8][9]
