H.M.S. Dorsetshire was one of two Norfolk Class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned on 16 September 1930 at Portsmouth to serve as flagship of the Second Cruiser Squadron of the Atlantic Fleet.[6]

Re-commissioned at Plymouth on 2 April, 1935.[7]
