H.M.S. Diamond was one of fourteen "C" and "D" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport on 8 November, 1932 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[4]

Commissioned at Devonport on 23 October, 1934 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[5]

Re-commissioned on 11 December, 1935 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[6]
