H.M.S. Cygnet was one of the Royal Navy's eleven "D" class destroyers.

Service

In late 1899, she was part of the Medway Destroyer/Instructional Flotilla.^[8]

She was one of twenty-seven T.B.Ds. of the Portsmouth Flotilla to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1909.^[9]

In mid-1913, she was serving in The Nore.^[10]

In March 1915, Cygnet collided with Brighton Queen. Orrell Bake was superseded in command of the destroyer as a result of this misadventure.^[11]
