H.M.S. Cyclops was a civilian ship, Indrabarah purchased on the stocks in 1905 for use as a depot ship.

Service

Cyclops was commissioned at Devonport 5 November, 1907.[6]

Cyclops served with the Grand Fleet throughout the war.[7]

She was reduced to reserve at Sheerness 31 January, 1920.[8]

She commissioned at Chatham on 21 December, 1922 for service with the First Submarine Flotilla of the Atlantic Fleet.[9]

In 1923, Henry Francis Morton Peto's M 2 collided with Cyclops and he was cautioned to exercise greater care in future.[10]

She was commissioned on 16 December, 1926 for work with the First Submarine Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]

She re-commissioned at Malta on 27 September, 1929 for work with the First Submarine Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[12]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 29 April, 1932 to continue her previous work.[13]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 31 January, 1935 for work with the First Submarine Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[14]
