H.M.S. Clio was one of six Cadmus Class sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Clio was sent first to the Australia Station, arriving there in May, 1904. In April 1905, she moved on to the China Station.

Charles Tuthill Borrett recommissioned her at Hong Kong on 24 September, 1908.[7]
