Service

Carlisle joined the Fifth Light Cruiser Squadron just as the war was ending, likely in November 1918. She remained until February, 1919 when she was detached to a rather vague state as a "miscellaneous ships in commission". Captain John Walsh Carrington re-commissioned her on 1 March, 1919,[2] to take her to the China Station, probably arriving in April[3] where she would remain for years.

Carlisle re-commissioned under Captain Gerald Charles Dickens on 3 February, 1923.[4]

Re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 22 October, 1925.[5]

Paid off into Dockyard Control at Chatham on 12 September, 1928 for service with the Fifth Cruiser Squadron on the China Station.[6]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 3 September, 1929 for duty with the Sixth Cruiser Squadron on the Africa Station.[7]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 1 March, 1932 for continued service with 6 C.S..[8]

Re-commissioned at Plymouth on 5 September, 1934.[9]

Fire Control

Listed in June 1918 as one of eight light cruisers to receive a Mark III* Dreyer Table, presumably in place at time of completion.[10]
