Situated on the east coast in Norfolk, Yarmouth, or Great Yarmouth, was a minor Royal Navy base in the Great War. It and Harwich served as operational bases for Auxiliary Patrol Area X off the East Anglia Coast.

History

Great Yarmouth was the first aerial bombardment target in Britain during the war, being bombed by the Zeppelin L3 on 19 January, 1915. The port was also bombarded by the German Navy on 24 April, 1916.
