Captain (retired) Gerard Clarence Pigou, R.N. (9 December, 1878 – 15 February, 1957) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Southampton.

Pigou was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1900.

Pigou was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1913.[1]

With the rank of Acting Captain, Pigou was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Amethyst on 26 August, 1918,[2] and also to Hannibal as Chief Staff Officer (G) on that same date.[3]

Pigou was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 19 February, 1925.
