Captain (retired) Gerald William Hoare-Smith, (19 December, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hoare-Smith's father and perhaps also his mother were deceased by the time he entered the Navy.
Hoare-Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1916.
Hoare-Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1924.
Hoare-Smith was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1930.
Hoare-Smith was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 19 December, 1944
World War II
