Commander (retired) George Francis Hole, R.N. (30 August, 1887 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hole was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1909.

Hole was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1917.

Hole was appointed in command of the destroyer Peterel on 17 March, 1914.[1]

He was removed from command of Peterel, suffering from neurasthenia in February, 1915. He would be retired on 4 February, 1916 for this same affliction. He took a position as Assistant Master Attendant at Colombo under the Colonial Office.

Hole was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 30 August, 1927.
