George Davies Williams

Commander R.N.R. (retired) George Davies Williams, C.M.G., D.S.O., R.D., R.N.R. (17 September, 1879 – 29 August, 1947) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Williams was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 16 January, 1913.[1]

Williams was promoted to the rank of Acting Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1917.[2]

He was appointed to Hindustan and first and gunnery officer on 23 February 1918. He served in her through mid-May.[3]

Williams was confirmed in the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. (retired) on 16 January, 1921.[4]

Williams was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 16 January, 1923.[5]

He died at Sydney in 1947.[6]
