Commander Geoffrey Neville Henson, R.N. (28 May, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in London, the son of Gerald Henson, who was employed in the Civil Service.

Henson underwent examinations in July, 1897 and gained entrance to Britannia's term of August, 1897, his 1317 marks placing him twentieth among the sixty-three candidates accepted as naval cadets.[1]

Henson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1904.

Henson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1912.

He was navigating officer in the battleship Dominion from 21 April 1914 to 30 April, 1917.

Henson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1918.

Henson was appointed in command of the destroyer Mons on 30 August, 1918.[2]
