Commander (retired) Geoffrey Morris Drummond Maltby, (8 June, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Maltbyu was appointed to Royal Arthur in August, 1914 until she paid off on 7 December. On New Year's Day 1915 he was appointed to Queen Elizabeth, where he remained until 30 August, 1916. He then trained in Engine Room duty in Repulse, and from January 1917 until January 1918 he worked in her engine room.

Maltby received instruction in submarines from 1 April to 26 June, 1918.

Maltby was appointed to the submarine M 1 on 29 August, 1918 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1918. he left her on 8 May 1919 when he was appointed to E 46 as first lieutenant.

He retired in February 192[illeg].

Maltby was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Retired List, dated 15 September, 1926.

Maltby was promoted to the rank of Commander on 21 August, 1937.
