Captain Frederick Secker Bell, C.B. (17 August, 1897 – 23 November, 1973) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1918.

Bell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1926.

Bell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1931.

Bell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1938.

World War II

Appointed in command of the battleship Anson on 19 January, 1946.

In ill health, on 22 November, 1946, Captain Markham Henry Evelegh replaced Bell in command of the battleship Anson.

Retired 8 January, 1948.
