Rear-Admiral Frederick Robert William Morgan, M.V.O., Royal Navy (17 November, 1861 – 13 April, 1910) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
For services rendered during the operations in Egypt, Morgan was specially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 18 November, 1882.[1]
He was appointed Flag Lieutenant to Vice-Admiral Sir Michael Culme-Seymour, Bart., Senior Officer in Command of the Channel Squadron, on 3 May, 1890.[2]
In June 1902, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Doris.[3]
On the occasion of the visit of the French fleet to Britain Morgan was appointed a Member of the Fourth Class of the Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) on 11 August, 1905.[4]
Appointed command of the battleship Britannia on 19 September, 1907.[5]
Morgan was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to the King on 15 June, 1908, vice Ottley.[6]
Morgan was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 22 June, 1909, vice Rees.[7]
