Captain (retired) Frederick Lewis Maitland Boothby, C.B.E. (13 November, 1881 – 3 January, 1940) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Boothby was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1903.

Boothby was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1911.

He was made a Squadron Commander on 1 July 1914 and a Wing Commander on 9 November 1914.

Boothby was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.[1]

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 19 April 1920, Boothby was promoted to the rank of Captain on 13 November, 1926.
