Chief Gunner Frank Ripley Gandy, R.N. (18 July, 1879 – 17 May, 1929) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Gandy was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 18 July, 1906 and confirmed in the rank on 11 April, 1908.

Gandy was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 93 on 9 May, 1911.[1]

On 1 August, 1914, he was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 077.[2]

Gandy was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 13 September, 1918. He was pensioned as physically unfit on 6 November 1918, having been disgnosed with heart disease at Dover.
