Commander (retired) Frank Lumb, R.N. (21 August, 1885 – 24 November, 1945) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Kensington. His father was named James (last name possibly Law, but likely Lumb), a barrister at law.

Lumb was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1907.

Lumb was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1915.

Post-War

Lumb was appointed to the light cruiser Royalist as gunnery officer in January, 1920[1] and assumed command upon her reducing in mid-August.

Lumb was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1929.
