Ernest James Rodgers (18 September, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

In the months immediately preceding outbreak of war, Rodgers earned First Class gunnery and torpedo certificates. In July 1914, he was appointed to the light cruiser Southampton as Acting Lieutenant, R.N.R..[1]

Rodgers was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 July, 1915.[2]

Rodgers was cautioned following a collision in 1917 and also informed that it was his duty to ensure that his responsible offcers are acquainted with the ship's armament.[3]

Rodgers was demobilised 16 January, 1919.

Rodgers was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 July, 1923.[4]

Rodgers was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1927.[5]
