Captain Eric Valentine Frederick Radclyffe Dugmore (21 January, 1875 – 7 October, 1954) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

Dugmore was promoted to Lieutenant on 22 June, 1897.[1]

On 7 April, 1905, he was appointed in command of the Yangtze gunboat Kinsha. He was superseded on 8 February, 1906.[2]

Dugmore was promoted to Commander on 31 December, 1908.[3][4]

Dugmore assumed command of the armoured cruiser Aboukir on 25 April, 1912.

Dugmore was promoted to Acting Captain on 16 September, 1916.[5]

Dugmore was promoted to Captain on 31 December, 1916.[6]

Post-War

In August 1919, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Galatea.

He was appointed in command of the aircraft carrier Eagle on 12 March, 1920, and commissioned her on April 6.[7]
