Commander (retired) Eric Harding Ward, R.N. (24 July, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Midhurst.

Ward was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1910.

Ward served in the R.I.M. troopship H.M.S. Hardinge from 6 August 1914 to 3 November, 1915 when he moved to the R.I.M. troopship H.M.S. Dufferin.

Ward was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1918.

Ward was placed on the Retired List at his own request with a gratuity on 17 January, 1920.

World War II

Ward was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 4 March, 1941.
