Captain (retired) Edward Stafford Houseman, R.N. (7 December, 1870 – 23 June, 1927) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Houseman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1892.

Houseman was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1904.

Houseman underwent an extended series of hospitalisations seemingly stemming from ague first mentioned in 1905. On 22 November, 1906 he was admitted to Yarmouth Hospital with the notation, "Insane". He was placed on the Retired List as unfit on 26 December, 1907.

Houseman was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1919.
