Lieutenant Edward Schuyler Rodd Butlin, (14 January, 1893 – 10 June, 1922) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Butlin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1914 and continued in his prior appointment in the scout cruiser Forward.[1]
Later in the war, he served Black Prince from January 1916, Matchless from 29 March 1916 and then Thruster from March 1917. From 5 February 1918 to 14 December, 1918, he commanded the patrol boat P25.[2]
Some time around March 1921, he failed to control a refusal of duty by men under his charge.[3]
Butlin died in an automobile accident in mid-1922.[4]
