Admiral SIR Edward Augustus Inglefield, K.C.B., R.N. (27 March, 1820 – 4/5 September, 1894) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 November, 1845.[1]
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Captain on 7 October, 1853.[2]
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 May, 1869.[3]
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 11 December, 1875.[4]
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 27 November, 1879. He was placed on the Retired List due to age on 27 March, 1885.[5]
He died of "fatty degeneration of heart" at Queen's Gate, London.
