Captain (retired) Edward Alverne Bolitho, (20 December, 1842 – 25 September, 1908) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bolitho was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 21 April, 1866.

Bolitho was promoted to the rank of Commander on 9 December, 1879.

In 1884, Bolitho was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal.[1]

Bolitho was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Captain on 23 December, 1892.
