Captain David Monteith Hamilton, C.M.G., R.N. (12 October, 1874 – 18 May, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Nowshera and raised by his mother.

Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1897.

Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1907.

Hamilton was admitted to Plymouth Hospital on 18 June, 1910 for treatment of facial paralysis, and was released on 12 July.

Hamilton was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Captain on 23 February, 1912.

Reverted to Retired List on 8 April, 1920.
