Captain (retired) Cyril Aubrey Hamilton Brooking, C.B.E. (17 April, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Brooking was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1915.

Brooking was in H.M.S. Malaya at the Battle of Jutland, acting as the main battery spotting officer aloft.

Brooking was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 November, 1922.

He grounded Ross at some point.

World War II

Brooking was granted the acting rank of Captain on 8 September, 1939.

Brooking was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 17 April, 1943.

Reverted to Retired List on 21 June, 1947.
