Conrad Byron Alers-Hankey

Captain Conrad Byron Alers-Hankey, D.S.C.*, R.N. (20 February, 1904 – 22 November, 1984) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Alers-Hankey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1927.[1]

Alers-Hankey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1935.[2]

World War II

Alers-Hankey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1940.[3]

Alers-Hankey was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1944.[4]

Retired 7 July, 1954.[5]
