Conning Tower

A Conning Tower is an armoured steering and command position on a medium- or large-sized surface ship (often abbreviated as "C.T."), or the tallest structural element on a submarine meant to offer a drier and safer place to enter and exit the submarine on the surface, or from which to maintain a watch.
