Vice-Admiral (retired) Charles Trelawny Jago, ( – 15 November, 1891) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Jago was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 23 October, 1849.

Jago was promoted to the rank of Commander on 6 August, 1860.

Jago was promoted to the rank of Captain on 11 April, 1866.

Appointed in command of Raleigh on 11 May, 1877, he was severely reprimanded for stranding her at the Dardanelles.

Jago was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 20 March, 1883.

He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 27 December, 1886 and promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 14 July, 1889.
