Charles Montagu Foot

Lieutenant Charles Montagu Foot, R.N. (14 October, 1873 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend C. Foot of Kingsley, Teddington gained seven months' time on passing out of Britannia.
Foot was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in October, 1895.
Foot was appointed to Encounter as first and gunnery officer on 21 November, 1905. On 15 January, 1907, a telegram from the Commander-in-Chief reported that Foot was absent without leave, supposedly deserted. On 23 January, 1907 he was sentenced by Court Martial to six months imprisonment and to be dismissed H.M Service with disgrace following charges of desertion and fraudulent conversion. He was reported as arrested on 4 February 1906, but this was perhaps 1907.
