Rear-Admiral Charles Dominick Burke (24 January, 1882 – 18 March, 1952) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Burke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1902.[1]

Burke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1910.[2]

Burke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.[3]

Burke was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1919.[4]

Burke was appointed in command of the light cruiser Centaur on 31 December, 1922. When Centaur paid off on 4 October, 1923, Burke was appointed in command of the light cruiser Cleopatra.[5]

In November, 1928, he was appointed in command of the battleship Marlborough.

Burke was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 July, 1932 and was placed on the Retired List the next day at his own request.[6]
