Commander R.N.R. (retired) Charles Creighton Halliday (18 April, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
In 1911, Halliday was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Silver Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]
Halliday was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 15 July, 1915.
Halliday was appointed in command of the fleet messenger Polly Bridge on 29 March, 1918. In May he was lent to the fleet messenger Floris.
Halliday was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 15 July, 1923.
Halliday was placed on the Retired List on 20 December 1926 and promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 10 April, 1927.
