Commander Basil Nugent Downie, D.S.C., R.N., Retired (15 April, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend F. F. Rudolph Downie.

Downie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1915.

Post-War

Downie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1923.

Downie was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 16 April, 1934.
