Augustus Phillimore

Admiral SIR Augustus Phillimore, K.C.B. (24 May, 1822 – 25 November, 1897) served in the Royal Navy.

His son, Richard Fortescue Phillimore, would command capital ships in the Great War and later also achieve the rank of Admiral.

Life & Career

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Commander in 1852.

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1855.
