Lieutenant Arthur Pringle, (24 February, 1877 – 28 April, 1902) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Pringle was born in Woolwich, Kent.
Following a brief stint in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 79 (which was initially to have been in T.B. 73) for the Annual Manoeuvres of 1897, Pringle was admonished for having failed to note the type of torpedoes equipped. He was nonetheless promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1897.[1]
Pringle died along with a petty officer and a seaman in a boat-handling accident aboard H.M.S. Formidable near the island of Magdalena, Italy.[2]
