Captain (retired) Arthur Patrick Saunders, O.B.E., R.N. (20 October, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Born in Pembroke Dock, the son of a surgeon.

Saunders was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.^[1]

Saunders served as navigating officer in Europa, Glory and Jupiter until December 1916, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.^[2]

Saunders was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1920.^[3]

Saunders was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 20 October, 1932.^[4]

Mobilised in 1938.^[5]
