Arthur Marsden ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Marsden was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 12 on 7 September, 1909.[1]

Marsden was appointed in command of the destroyer Acorn on 31 July, 1912.[2]

On 16 February, 1914, Marsden was appointed in command of the destroyer Ardent.[3] He was her captain at the Battle of Jutland, operating as part of the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla.[4] Marsden's official report states that after Ardent was sunk in night fighting, he was recovered by Marksman after five hours in the water.

He was appointed in command of the destroyer Maenad on 29 October, 1918.[5]
