Admiral Arthur Archibald Campbell Galloway, Royal Navy, Retired (30 June, 1855 – 12 February, 1918) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Galloway was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant from the Victoria and Albert with seniority of 18 August, 1876.[1]

Galloway was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1891.[2]

Galloway was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1898.[3]

On 17 May, 1904, he was appointed in command of the battleship Revenge.[4]

Flag Rank

Galloway was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 16 December, 1907, vice O'Callaghan.[5]

Galloway was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 21 March, 1913, vice Egerton.[6] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 4 June.[7]

He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 9 June, 1916.[8]
