Rear-Admiral Alan Ramsay Dewar (8 February, 1887 – 5 November, 1972) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Gunnery Officer of H.M.S. Hercules at Jutland[1] and later in the war in H.M.S. Warspite. Youngest brother of Kenneth Dewar and Alfred Charles Dewar.

Married Valentine Ford, the daughter of Mrs. Ford and the late Mr. James Johnston Ford at St. Baldred's Church, North Berwick on 18 October, 1923.

Served as Naval Attaché in Washington, D.C. in 1933.
