Captain (retired) Vernon Stanhope Rashleigh, C.B.E. (10 September, 1879 – 4 January, 1946) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Rashleigh was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1900.[1]
Rashleigh was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1908.[Inference]
Rashleigh was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1913.[2]
Placed on the Retired List at his own request 1 April, 1923.[3]
Rashleigh was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 10 September, 1924.[4]
World War II
Rashleigh was not available for naval service in that he was taken up in 1938 by the Coast Guard for Coast Watching. He retired from the position of Chief Inspector of H.M. Coast Guard in April, 1945.[5]
