Commander (retired) Evelyn Roberts Churchill MacVicker, O.B.E., G.M. (25 May, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a doctor. He served in the battleship Emperor of India from May 1917 through 21 August, 1920 when he was sent to Dolphin for a submarine course.
MacVicker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1921.
MacVicker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1929.
World War II
Awarded a G.M. for gallantry after an explosion on 25 August, 1942.
MacVicker was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 25 May, 1945 and was re-appointed.
