Captain William Power Carne, C.B.E., R.N. (31 May, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Carne applied to serve in airships in June, 1917.[1]

Carne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1919.[2]

Carne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1927.[3]

Carne was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1933.[4]

World War II

Carne was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.[5]

Carne was placed on the Retired List on 7 July, 1950.[6]
