Rear Admiral William Hemsley Emory, Jr. (December 17, 1846 – June 17, 1935) served in the United States Navy.

Life & Career

William Emory was born in Washington, D.C. on 17 December, 1846 and entered the U.S. Navy on 23 September, 1862.[1]

Emory was promoted to the rank of Captain on 14 April, 1901.[2]

Emory was assigned to command the battleship Indiana on 23 August, 1902.[3]
